Testimonials from Students, Families, Graduates and Teachers

“There are all different kinds of kids at WayPoint. No one is singled out because of race, what they are wearing or what they can or cannot afford. Everyone is treated equally, and that is why I love WayPoint.”

WayPoint is there to help you succeed. I honestly had not found that in the schools that I had gone to previously. You’re just not another student. At WayPoint they make it a lot more personal, and they really care about your overall success.”

“WayPoint tries to be there for the kids, not just during school, but at all times. I have not seen a school that shows so much concern for all their students. It is definitely something special.”

“As soon as I stepped into WayPoint,
it changed everything. I started getting
good grades, and I started hanging out
with better people. People who actually
wanted to graduate and become a
better person.”

“I'm thrilled to be involved with our new athletic programs and to see how they have been able to help students academically. I was able to witness one of my players pass English for the first time which was better than a 16-2 basketball season.”

“Waypoint Academy has been the best school in the world for my son Terry. He was at a public high school
before attending Waypoint and he wasn't doing very well in his academic classes. When talking to the teachers
and counselor, etc. they didn't seem too interested in helping or communicating, but all said that he was
capable of doing the work.
My husband and I were told about Waypoint Academy through a family friend and decided to put him on the
waiting list. The school is very warm and welcoming when you enter. Greetings come from everywhere, even
when you just call the school; it's amazing! My son Terry has really opened up, his grades are great! He's no
longer frustrated with assignments. He loves going to school and no longer feels like he can't do the work or
isn't as smart as everyone else. He has confidence in himself now.
I think that the most amazing part of Waypoint is the love that each staff member shows toward the kids and
it starts from the top. They really care about their kids and want them to succeed; I've never experienced
anything like this before!
Terry will be graduating next year, but I know this wouldn't be possible without Waypoint and he'll never
forget this experience. Again I thank God for answering our prayers! Waypoint is definitely a best kept
secret that everyone needs to know about!"

“Out of the nine years my son Desmond has been in school, this is the first time ever that he has told me
'I want to go to school.' Oh my goodness, that’s great. Thank you with all my heart."

“One of the things that really impressed me about WayPoint was the whole ‘Get Ready for the Work Environment’
mantra that the school and the teachers all press. If you are going to go out and work in the community and you say
‘I’m a WayPoint student,’ employers know – and that means something.”
