Welcome fellow Navigators to the new school year!

This is my fifth year at WayPoint Academy (formerly MTA).  I teach 5th and 6th grade, Language Arts and Social Studies.  I absolutely love it.  Eleven and twelve year olds are at such a fun age with all the changes going on for them.

I have been married for 23 years to Chuck.  We live in Grand Haven with our 20 year old son Nicholas, who is attending Muskegon Community College, and our 18 year old daughter Lauren, who is in her first year at Grand Valley State University.  We also have a twelve year old chocolate lab named Molly, and two eleven year old cats, Chuckie and Whiskers.  During my free time I love to curl up with a cozy blanket and get lost in a good book.  I also enjoy cross country skiing, bike riding, and going to the beach.
