What People are Saying

Students

Arianna D (current student) - Since I switched to WayPoint, I have taken pride in doing my school work.  When I started at WayPoint, other students helped me, teachers helped me.  They made learning more interesting and better explained so I could understand it.  It's all about the way they don't give up on you here at WayPoint Academy.  It's the "can do" attitudes.  I finally realized I "can do" well, and I have!

Kylia K (Teaching Assistant - MSU) - "When I first came to WayPoint, I felt like I was behind but the devoted staff helped me not only to catch-up to where I needed to be, but to excel.  The Dual Enrollment program helped me to  get a head start on college and I not only felt better prepared when I became a full time student at GVSU, but because of the head start, I was able to finish college in just 3 years."

Elizabeth B.(Social Work major at St Louis University) - "Without Waypoint, I just wouldn't be on my way.  It was so worth driving from Zeeland every day; my teachers spent time with me and the Academy gave me opportunities I didn't have in my other school."

Christina A (pre pharmacy at Ferris State University) - "If I hadn't transferred to the Academy when I was in 7th grade, I wouldn't have made it half as far as I have.  Without the support that I received from the Academy, I probably wouldn't have graduated.  Thanks again for everything!

Keith G (grad going on to MCC) - "The Academy is accepting of all people and the teachers were cool."

Drew R.  - "I like WayPoint for all the support you get from the staff and teachers."

J. Hernandez - "WayPoint prepared me for success by giving me challenges and encouraging me to work hard and think about my future.  The assignments have prepared me for college because it's not just busy work; the teachers want to make sure you know the material."

Parents

Theresa P. - "I just can't say enough about WayPoint.  The staff has been great and given my student an excellent education.  I never would have believed my son would be so excited about school.  It is just a great school."

Patrice H.  - "I like the Academy because the teachers are supportive and always willing to help."

Paula C. - "Without the Academy, my son wouldn't have the great job he has today.  The Academy looks at what's best for each student."

Emma F. - "WayPoint helps prepare students for success by exposing them to outside learning opportunities and focusing on the students discovering the kind of job they may want in the future."

Molly M. - "I am so proud of my daughter!  She's never done this good anywhere.  I am so grateful for her teachers and for the school.  Bless you all."
